Fate of a Nation is a strategy game with a strong focus on interaction between players, research, exploration, trade, resource development and empire management. Conflicts are common in the struggle to survive in a world populated with the most diverse races.

Norberg Games

Norberg Games is a small family-owned company located in Gothenburg, Sweden (let us know if you come by!). The company was founded in June 2010 by Johan and Peter Norberg. However, the work on our first game, the PBeM fantasy strategy game Fate of a Nation, started more than a year earlier.

Early in March 2009 ideas were brought down on paper and the first line of code was written. Originally meant as a hobby project, it took no more than a couple of months for us to realise the possibilities with the game, then known as Project Riverland.

As they days grew darker the decision to fully commersialize the game was made. The first contact with the public was taken in December 2009 when a press release was sent to Flagship Magazine, Games Gazette and also published on the Play by Email (PBeM) list.

The search for beta players started in January 2010 and the beta test begun in early February and ended in July. Fate of a Nation was launched in August 2010.
